(‘wpd Brasil’) thanks you for visiting our website and in compliance with Law 13.709 of 14 August 2018 – General Data Protection Law (‘LGPD’), makes this privacy notice (‘Privacy Notice’) available to you, in order to establish the terms and conditions for the processing of personal data that you may receive from time to time.

wpd Brasil undertakes to respect your privacy. You are not obliged to provide any personal information when consulting our website. However, you can choose to communicate with us by electronic means, according to the e-mail address provided on the website in the Contact or Work with us area, or by e-mail to dpo@wpd-brasil.com.

 

PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING POLICY

This Personal Data Processing Policy (‘Policy’) regulates the collection, storage, use, circulation, and deletion of personal data by wpd do Brasil Ltda. (‘Controller’ or ‘wpd Brasil’), in accordance with the provisions of Law 13.709/2018, which establishes the general provisions for the protection of personal data.

2. Processing of personal data and its purpose

Personal data will be collected, stored, organised, used, circulated, transmitted, transferred, updated, rectified, replaced, deleted and managed in accordance with the nature of the data and the purpose set out in this Policy.

2.1 Purpose of Personal Data Collection

When you visit our website, our web server temporarily evaluates so-called usage data for statistical purposes in order to improve the quality of our website. This data consists of the following categories of data:

  • The name and address of the content requested;
  • The date and time of the enquiry;
  • The amount of data downloaded;
  • The access status (content downloaded, content not found);
  • The description of the web browser and operating system used;
  • The reference link, which indicates which page you came to our site from;
  • The IP address of the requesting computer, which is shortened so that it is no longer possible to establish a personal reference.

The aforementioned registration data will be evaluated anonymously, based on the use of Art. 7(IX) of the LGPD, which states that the processing is based on the legitimate interest of providing the content of the website and ensuring an optimised display for devices and browsers.

In order to protect your data as comprehensively as possible against unwanted access, we have implemented technical and organisational measures. These measures include encryption procedures on our websites. Your data is transferred from your computer to our server and vice versa over the Internet using TLS encryption. You can usually recognise this by the fact that the padlock symbol in your browser’s status bar is closed and the address line begins with https://.

2.2 Transfer and Transmission of Personal Data

wpd Brasil may transfer the data mentioned above in point 2.1, as well as data from its partners and collaborators and members of its corporate group located in Germany, or any other country where the Person Responsible or their related parties have operations, within the development of WPD’s business, in the manner set out in this Policy and in accordance with the provisions of Articles 33 to 35 of the LGPD.

3.Rights Conferred to the Personal Data Subject.

wpd Brasil undertakes to observe the rights of the holders of the personal data collected, in accordance with the provisions of Law no. 13.709, exercising due care in the processing of the personal data collected.

4.Procedures for Accessing, Correcting, Deleting and Blocking the Processing of Personal Data.

The holder of personal data can confirm the existence of processing and access such data at any time. In addition, the data subject may request the correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data; the anonymisation, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data; the portability of data to another provider; the deletion of data; information on the possibility of not providing consent; and the revocation of consent. Personal data must be corrected, removed or blocked in accordance with article 18 of the LGPD.

wpd Brasil declares that any person who has any doubts about how the Data Controller processes Personal Data, or who wishes to correct, remove or block the processing of their Personal Data, may contact the Data Controller by sending an e-mail to dpo@wpd-brasil.com, identifying their name, e-mail address, telephone number and request, attaching documents that allow them to be identified as the Data Controller.

The request will be analysed in accordance with the LGDP and will be answered within 15 days in accordance with current legislation.
